Kansas city chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes speaks on burgled home, lamenting heavily he not only makes Shocking new moves, but…
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes opened up about a recent break-in at his home, sharing his frustration and urging for better home security measures in the wake of the incident. The burglary, which occurred in late October, saw thieves target Mahomes’ property while he was away for a team event.
Speaking publicly for the first time since the break-in, Mahomes expressed a mix of disbelief and disappointment. “It’s tough when you think about your home being violated like that,” Mahomes said. “You want to feel safe where you live, and it’s unfortunate that something like this can happen, especially when you have a family to protect.” The quarterback, who recently signed a massive extension with the Chiefs, lamented the emotional toll the event took on him and his wife, Brittany, as well as their children.
While Mahomes did not go into specifics about what was taken, he emphasized that no one was home at the time of the burglary, ensuring the safety of his loved ones. “That’s the most important thing. Material things can always be replaced, but your family’s well-being is the number one priority,” he said.
In addition to expressing his personal frustrations, Mahomes used the opportunity to speak out about the importance of home security, particularly for high-profile individuals like athletes. “It’s a reminder to all of us to stay vigilant and make sure our homes are as secure as possible,” he added.
Despite the distressing event, Mahomes is focused on his upcoming season with the Chiefs and says his family is doing well. “We’re moving forward,” he stated, with a smile. “It’s been a tough few weeks, but we’re stronger than ever.”
