Marc Márquez Rejects an offer from Ducati team worth $67million and explain his decision
Unexpectedly, Marc Márquez, the reigning MotoGP champion, has reportedly turned down a $67 million offer from the Ducati team. The MotoGP community was shocked by the Spanish rider’s choice, as many had anticipated that Márquez would leave his current team, Repsol Honda, following a difficult spell.
Given the team’s intense desire to have Márquez join them, Ducati made one of the biggest offers in MotoGP history. Since Ducati has been unstoppable in recent years, having Márquez on the squad would have cemented their status as the team to beat. But despite the cash incentives and the chance to join a successful team, Márquez made the decision to stay with Honda for reasons other than money.
Márquez’s decision was largely influenced by his devotion to Honda. Since making his premier class debut with Honda in 2013, Márquez has been a part of the team and has achieved great success, winning six MotoGP world titles. Márquez has stayed dedicated to the team that has been crucial to his career in spite of recent setbacks, such as injuries and a lack of rivalry in comparison to other teams.

I’m sure we can win again with Honda, which is what I want to do.”
The fact that Márquez turned down Ducati’s offer shows that his priorities are loyalty and legacy over money.
