BREAKING: Jorge Martin Wins the Portuguese Grand Prix As Bagnaia and Marquez crash

The MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix has been won by Jorge Martin, while the late race for fourth place saw crashes from Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.

On his Pramac Ducati, Martin dominated the entire 25 laps around the Portimao circuit. Enea Bastianini (Ducati Team) came in second, while Pedro Acosta (Red Bull GasGas Tech3) claimed his first podium after sprint winner Maverick Viñales (Aprilia Racing) crashed on the last lap.

The top five was completed by Jack Miller and Brad Binder of Red Bull KTM, while Marc Marquez of Gresini Ducati finished one spot outside the points and Bagnaia of the Ducati Team retired to the pits.

After Round 2, Martin leads Binder by a total of eighteen points in the riders’ championship.

Martin started from the lead and led the pack to the first bend, but Viñales caught up to Bastianini halfway through the first lap of 25.

Following an early fight with Marc Marquez, Bagnaia emerged in fourth place, while Miller finished sixth behind Acosta and Binder.

When Acosta lost steam attacking Miller at Turn 4 on Lap 3, Binder caught up to him, and the two passed #43 in Turn 1 on Lap 5.

On Lap 7, Acosta passed Binder at Turn 1 and pursued Marc Marquez, who was 0.5s ahead of him.

Less than a lap later, he set a new best lap and passed Marc Marquez for sixth place. Bagnaia was next on the agenda.

On lap 12, Acosta attempted a move down the inside at Turn 1, but he struggled to maintain the momentum due to the large gap between him and the lead.
