I’m Leaving Georgia Bulldogs for Nasir Johnson, QB Carson Beck Announce His Decision

According to On3 Sports, Georgia football running back Trevor Etienne was detained early on Sunday morning in Athens and faces four counts, all of which have to do with driving, including DUI (driving under the influence). In Athens, Georgia, he was hauled into custody at 4:35 a.m. local time, but he “posted a $1,883 bond and was released less than an hour later, at 5:27 a.m.”

The aforementioned DUI, “reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and affixing materials that reduce the visibility from windows and/or windshield” are the four charges that Etienne is facing. Trevor is the brother of Travis Etienne Jr., a running back with the Jacksonville Jaguars who attended Clemson University.

Etienne just transferred from the University of Florida, where he spent two seasons running for 1,472 yards and 14 touchdowns on 249 runs. He is currently a member of the Georgia football team. Even though it is anticipated that he will be the Bulldogs’ best running back going into the upcoming season, the arrest may cause things to shift.

Georgia regulation normally stipulates a one-game punishment for DUI offenses, but it can be extended if the club or athletic administration so chooses, according to The Athletic. According to Bleacher Report, the Bulldogs’ head coach Kirby Smart is expected to address Etienne during his planned media conference on Tuesday, the day of another spring practice.
