Former Vikings WR Adam Thielen Makes Final Call on NFL Retirement…
Adam Thielen, the veteran wide receiver formerly with the Minnesota Vikings and currently with the Carolina Panthers, has announced his decision to continue his NFL career into the 2025 season. After reflecting on his future following the 2024 season, Thielen confirmed his intention to return for a 12th season.
In a statement on February 7, 2025, Thielen expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming season, stating, “I feel good. I took two weeks off and got my energy back. Started training already, spent a ton of time with my family and just kinda thought about how the end of the season went.”
Thielen’s decision to return comes after a season where he recorded 48 receptions for 615 yards and five touchdowns, despite missing five games due to a hamstring injury.
The 34-year-old wide receiver has been a consistent performer throughout his career, earning two Pro Bowl selections and becoming a reliable target for quarterbacks. His leadership and experience are expected to be valuable assets for the Panthers as they prepare for the 2025 season.
Thielen’s return is anticipated to provide stability and mentorship to the Panthers’ receiving corps, contributing to the team’s offensive development in the upcoming season.
