Live Updates: Marc Marquez manager  Jaime Martinez  revealed his resignation dateline and further explained his decision.

Marc Marquez sent another strong message during the Sepang MotoGP test, as his race simulations were extremely competitive.

Pace over one lap still needs to be improved to compete with Francesco Bagnaia, Jorge Martin, and teammate Alex Marquez, but the eight-time world champion has rapidly adapted to his Desmosedici GP23 bike.

After day three of the Sepang test, Marquez told MotoGP.com: “We worked hard these three days, but step-by-step was the key.

“I never panicked or felt nervous; I was simply working in the garage. I was aware that on the first and second days, I was frequently ranked P19 or 20th, but I remained cool.

“I was just trying to learn the bike. It was a little easier in Valencia, and I expected it to be a little harder here because it’s one of the circuits on my calendar.

“For some reason, I’ve always been slow here, but other than that, the advancement has been wonderful.

“The speed was not awful yesterday [day two], and I did the long run – a ten-lap sprint race simulation – but today the most good thing is that I was able to learn how to take use of the new rubber, and I was faster on both tyres. This was important.

“I’m still far behind the top men since a half-second is a long time. However, it is not bad. I completed another sprint simulation, which was good, but you must comprehend the time you spent and when others did.
