The Pigeon Forge Police Department reported that the man was riding a scooter along the Parkway when he collided with an open automobile door.

UPDATE (April 22), Pigeon Forge, Tenn. According to the Pigeon Forge Police Department, Jeremy Hanes Jr., 31, of Charlestown, Indiana, died in a crash on Thursday during Rod Run.

According to the police department, a truck came to a stop at a red light, and a passenger opened the door. According to the report, Hanes Jr. was riding an electric scooter north on the Parkway, between the white line and the sidewalk, when he collided with the door.

According to the report, he fell from the electric scooter and was airlifted to the University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he died of his injuries on Friday.–

Following an incident on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, one guy died.

This occurred Thursday night around 11:30. He died Friday afternoon.

Rod Run was involved in this death, according to Police Chief Richard Catlett.
