Alexander Rossi was raised in Nevada City, California. At the age of ten, he started go-kart racing, and it didn’t take him long to become successful in the driver’s seat. Alexander had won numerous national and international karting championships by the time he was 14 years old. After leaving karting behind, Alexander went on to win the most pole positions and races ever in the history of the Formula BMW World Championship in 2008.

Alexander became the youngest driver to obtain an F1 Super License when he relocated to Europe at the age of 17. He made five F1 Grand Prix starts for Manor Racing in 2015, six years later.

In 2016, Alexander relocated to the US in order to compete for Andretti Herta Autosport.

Currently residing in Indianapolis, Alexander spends his time with his wife and two dogs, while training in the gym and by cycling. He also is the co-host of a weekly SiriusXM podcast called “Off Track with Hinch & Rossi” and also has competed on the CBS show “The Amazing Race.” Alexander was the honorary chair of the tenth annual Rev event in May 2023, benefiting Indiana University Health Foundation and the critical work they do in the community.
