Alabama Coach Nick Saban Request For Divorce As He Cut His Wife…

Jermaine Burton will be a Bengal. Burton was selected 80th overall and 16th in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft by Cincinnati.

Burton was Alabama’s first skill position player chosen. Two of his former teammates left earlier that evening: Kool-Aid McKinstry (41st overall to New Orleans) and Chris Braswell (57th to Tampa Bay). Burton transferred to Alabama before the 2022 season and was the Tide’s top receiving option. Now he is a target in Joe Burrow’s offense.

He scored eight touchdowns in two seasons at Georgia, including a 57-yarder against Michigan in the 2021 Rose Bowl. Burton caught 79 passes for 1,475 yards and 15 touchdowns in 26 games for the University of Alabama. He concluded his career with two Southeastern Conference championships and was a reliable deep-ball threat.

Burton averaged more than 20 yards per carry, and his big-play talent was never more evident than last October vs Texas A&M. He burst for 197 yards and two touchdowns as Jalen Milroe matured. Burton was selected as the 12th pass-catcher after an impressive combine performance.

“I truly like this man. The most important thing he needs to accomplish, and I believe emotional maturity is the greatest way to describe it, is to always do the right thing. He does the proper things on the field. He understands the importance of what he must do on the field. “He wants to be a player; that’s all he thinks about,” his former coach Nick Saban remarked during ESPN’s live broadcast analysis.

Burton got into a fight with a fan during a field storming in Knoxville in 2022, which sparked a controversy. (He was never disciplined by the team or conference.) Burton is the first UA wide receiver selected since Jameson Williams and John Metchie went in.
