The Bills have reached an agreement with the Minnesota Vikings on A $60 Million Trade As replacement of Stefon Diggs

The Bills have reached an agreement with the Houston Texans, bidding goodbye to their wide receiver, who has been with the team since 2020. Diggs was picked by the Minnesota Vikings in 2015 and has since become one of the NFL’s finest receivers.

He was selected in the fifth round (146th overall) and has clearly outperformed all expectations. In exchange for Houston’s 2025 second-round pick, the Bills will receive it from Minnesota. In exchange, the Texans will receive Diggs, a 2024 sixth-round selection, and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Diggs has helped the Bills make it to the playoffs for the previous three seasons, but they have not managed to reach the Super Bowl.

And, following his worst season with the Bills in 2023, the team has decided it is time for a change. Diggs’ base salary in 2024 will be $18 million (£14.2 million), but the Bills will still face a dead cap charge of about $30 million (£23.7 million). Diggs may be surprised to learn this news, given he was asked about his future at the NFL Pro Bowl in February.

“There’s a long offseason ahead of me. “As for what the future holds, I don’t have any surprises for you right now,” Diggs remarked during the interview. He was and continues to be a favorite among Bills supporters, making the trade announcement difficult for some to accept.

Diggs departed the stadium minutes after the Buffalo Bills were eliminated from the playoffs. The story didn’t end there; he neglected to attend their mandatory training camp later that year. Head coach Sean McDermott initially voiced concern about Diggs, but then said that both the receiver and the squad required a healthy “break” from one another.

The Bills promptly welcomed Diggs back to training camp. Both the receiver and Allen denied rumors of a feud. Even McDermott sought to diminish Diggs’ emotion, adding, “It hurts, and I wouldn’t want a guy that doesn’t hurt.”
