Breaking:Toto Wolff Braces for Max Verstappen Dilemma as Lawrence Stroll and Aston Martin Shine”

Mercedes’ Toto Wolff has made no secret of his ambition to sign Max Verstappen.

Toto Wolff may be willing to do ‘handstands’ to lure Max Verstappen to drive one of his Mercedes next season, but Aston Martin is poised to make a tough offering of their own. According to reports, Lawrence Stroll’s F1 team is putting together a ‘attractive offer’ before attempting to acquire the Red Bull star in 2025.

Adrian Newey, the design genius, may be involved in some of this. Aston is thought to have made a substantial offer for Red Bull’s chief technology officer, who has overseen numerous seasons of F1 domination for Verstappen and earlier Sebastian Vettel.

While Stroll and co have yet to receive a definite reaction from Newey, they do have another card up their sleeve: a power unit deal with Honda beginning in 2026. Meanwhile, Red Bull is collaborating with Ford to develop their own engines.

Verstappen has won all three of his world titles with Honda engines, and the Japanese manufacturer’s move to Aston Martin may push him away from Red Bull and Mercedes.

Wolff has openly revealed that Verstappen is his main pick to replace Lewis Hamilton in 2025, when the seven-time world champion will leave Mercedes for Ferrari.

“Let’s word it like this,” remarked the Austrian. “I believe Max needs to make this decision, but there is no team on the grid that would not do handstands to have him in the car.” “I would love to have him.”
