Reports:Eagles Unveil Mandatory Minicamp as Key Component of Revamped Offseason Program”

With two new coordinators and new concepts to understand, the Eagles will practice more this spring than they have in previous years.

After two years without a mandatory minicamp, the Eagles will have one this year in early June.

The NFL revealed offseason program schedules for all 32 teams on Friday morning. Here is the Eagles’ offseason schedule:

Following the Super Bowl last season, the Eagles held only six optional OTA (Organized Team Activities) practices and did not have a mandatory minicamp for the second consecutive season in 2023. So this is a more robust spring schedule, which makes sense considering the upcoming schematic improvements to the Eagles’ offense and defense in 2024.

While the Eagles only have six OTA days (out of a possible ten), they have joined the rest of the NFL in mandatory camp. This spring, all 32 teams will conduct a mandated minicamp.

Sirianni mentioned the planned adjustments during the NFL’s annual meetings on Tuesday.

“There are definitely modifications. “You always evaluate everything,” Sirianni explained. “Evaluating your culture is similar to evaluating a play. You evaluate your practice, as well as your methods and approach. Your method is not set in stone.

“A good process evolves to benefit your team. … That is something I do after each phase that we complete. “Hey, how could we have done better here?” And it is an open question for all of my coaches, our leadership, and our team members. What can we do better here? What could we do better there? So there will be some disparities in our practice.

Following a dismal finale to the 2023 season, the Eagles fired coordinators from both sides of the ball. Sirianni then recruited Kellen Moore as the new offensive coordinator and Vic Fangio as the new defensive coordinator. In addition to the new systems, the Eagles will have a large number of new players, including a new center following Jason Kelce’s retirement.

The Eagles should undoubtedly take advantage of the mandated minicamp, which is part of the collective bargaining agreement between the NFL and the NFL Players Association. The entire offseason is voluntary until the minicamp on June 4-6.

After June 6, the Eagles will be off until training camp begins, which will most likely be in late July.
