Former Georgia Bulldogs Coach Bryan McClendon Is Coming back due to Mismanagement

The star of Georgia’s offseason was former Florida running back Trevor Etienne, but following an early Sunday morning arrest, he is currently facing legal issues in Athens. In addition to two additional offenses, the Athens-Clark County Police Department charged him with DUI and careless driving, leading to his arrest.

According to reports, he was bonded within an hour of being checked into the Athens-Clark County prison at 4:35 a.m. DUI, alcohol/less safe driving, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, incorrect driving on a road, and using items that obscure windows and windshield view were the formal accusations.

As of Sunday morning, there are still no more details. When Georgia plays Clemson in Atlanta on August 31, 2024, Etienne may be suspended by the team.

During Kirby Smart’s tenure, Georgia has seen a number of driving-related arrests; however, the most recent arrest is believed to have occurred last summer. Perhaps most famously, Jalen Carter, a member of the Georgia national championship team in 2022, was one among nine people arrested for driving-related offenses over the course of 13 months. Carter was charged with DUI.

As a sophomore, Etienne finished second in Florida’s run stats with 753 yards and eight touchdowns on 131 attempts. He was the most noteworthy incoming transfer this summer and was supposed to be Georgia’s main back.
