Vikings has reached an agreement with cornerback Shaquill Griffin who has played for four teams..

Shaquill Griffin, a free agent cornerback, has agreed to a deal with the Minnesota Vikings in an effort to add some much-needed experience to their position. Griffin, an eighth-year veteran, will be playing for his fifth NFL team after spending the previous season with Houston before being released and going to Carolina. Griffin was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the third round out of UCF in 2017 and has an impressive career stat line that includes 79 starts, 64 passes defended, and seven interceptions.

He was selected for the 2019 Pro Bowl.

Even though the Vikings were successful last season after signing free agent cornerback Byron Murphy Jr., there is still some uncertainty at the position beyond him.

Mekhi Blackmon was a promising youngster who mostly filled the role, while Akayleb Evans was benched toward the close of the previous campaign. Furthermore, Andrew Booth Jr., who was included in Evans’ 2022 draft class, has not yet shown to be a trustworthy player.
