Steelers sign WR Jefferson and special teams star Killebrew to contracts
Pittsburgh — On Monday, the Pittsburgh Steelers agreed to a one-year contract with wide receiver Van Jefferson and inked special teams ace Miles Killebrew to a two-year contract.
The safety Killebrew was selected to the special teams in 2023 and for the first time received All-Pro recognition. In a win over Baltimore on October 8, he racked up 13 tackles in kick coverage and stopped a punt that resulted in a safety that changed the game’s momentum.
In addition, the 30-year-old Killebrew played 111 defensive snaps, which is a record for him since he joined the Steelers in 2021 following five seasons in Detroit.
After playing parts of last season for both the Los Angeles Rams and Atlanta, Jefferson now plays for Pittsburgh. The 27-year-old Jefferson has 113 career receptions for 1,600 yards and 10 touchdowns in 61 career games, most of them with the Rams.
