Heartfelt Message to the Denver Broncos:

“I never planned to leave, but I believe everything happens for a reason.”

Former Broncos star and Super Bowl champion Von Miller issued the statement as he is about to close yet another chapter in his legendary NFL career.

It’s hard to put into words what the Denver Broncos have meant to me—not just as a player, but as a man. I was drafted here. I grew up here. I became a Super Bowl MVP here. Denver isn’t just where I played football—it’s where I became family. The roar of Mile High, the snow in the winter, the unwavering support through every sack and every comeback—it’s etched in my heart forever.

I never planned to leave. This city, this team, these fans—I wanted to be a Bronco for life. But life has its own playbook, and sometimes you have to trust the process. When I walked out of those doors for the last time, it wasn’t goodbye. It was simply “see you later.” Every time I put on a different jersey, a part of me still carried the blue and orange. Because Denver made me. The love, the energy, the legacy—it’s in my blood.

To my teammates, coaches, the front office, and every single Broncos fan—thank you. You stood by me through the highs and the lows. You celebrated my triumphs and lifted me in my struggles. I wouldn’t be who I am without this organization, and I will always wear the title of “Bronco” with pride and humility.

As I look ahead to what’s next—whether it’s another season, a final run, or the end of an era—I do so with gratitude in my heart and memories that will last a lifetime. Championships come and go, stats fade, but the bond I have with Denver? That’s forever.

So, from the bottom of my heart—thank you, Denver. Thank you for believing in a kid from Texas with big dreams and a wild personality. Thank you for letting me grow, stumble, and rise again. I may not wear the uniform anymore, but I’ll always bleed orange and blue.

With love and respect,

Von Miller
