Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers is no longer under investigation from local police for alleged domestic abuse charges.
On February 8, the investigation into Flowers was made public, and Baltimore police have since concluded it.
“It was a really bad ten minutes but [she] hasn’t been scared since,” she told investigators, according to police documents obtained by the Baltimore Banner Additionally, she informed them that “he is too smart and has too much to lose to do something like that.”
Acton, Massachusetts, some 25 miles northwest of Boston College, is the site of the alleged incident that sparked the investigation. It was there that Flowers rose to prominence as one of the Atlantic Coast Conference’s top receivers.
Police reports state that Flowers’ brother pulled out a gun at some point during the altercation. According to police records, the lady who reported the incident said she was assaulted by an NFL player, but she could not identify him when she made the frantic 911 call.
According to the Baltimore Banner, local police were compelled to comb through social media to determine which NFL player might be a suspect.
