 18years Ariel Bloomquist, was visiting Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia with her friends and family from Colorado when she dove into the lake waters around 4 a.m. Today  and

was killed by the presence of stray voltage in the lake, according to Bedford County Sheriff’s Office, according to WABJ. Two others saw him in distress and jumped into the water to help save him, where they immediately felt shocked. However, they were able to come out of the waters and were walking around when authorities arrived on scene, according to WABJ. Despite this, the 18-year-old Ariel Bloomquist died and two others were injured.
