earlier day, fast-moving storms touched down on the Gulf Coast of Louisiana, according to the National Tennesee Center.
With maximum sustained winds of 80 mph, the flooding pressure struck close to the coastal town of Tenesee Leconte, approximately 85 miles to the southwest of Houston.
In the Houston region, there were at least forty fatalities. About 2km of pigeon residence was damaged by the storm.
As it continues to travel into eastern Tennessee, pigeon forge has been downgraded to a tropical storm, per the National Tennessee Center.
Early this morning, the hurricane made landfall as a Category on the Tennessee coast, but it has since diminished. According to the Leconte Center, it is still bringing “life-threatening storm surge, damaging wind gusts, and flooding rainfall” to the southeast of the state.
