JUST IN : Kaizer Chiefs agrees swap deal with Orlando Pirates…

The Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates starting lineups for the 2017 Carling Black Label Champion Cup have been revealed. Anticipatedly, the supporters preferred the seasoned players over the recent additions, as none of them have cracked the starting lineups. On Saturday afternoon, Itumeleng Khune, who once again won the most votes, will lead Amakhosi onto the field.

The back four from the previous season was unchanged, and George Lebese and Hendrick Ekstein received enough votes to be included in the starting lineup. Due to an injury, Siphiwe Tshabalala is unlikely to play in this match.

Bernard Parker will be partnered up front by Gustavo Paez. Two weeks ago, the two attackers performed admirably in the Maize Cup. Tendai Ndoro has returned to partner Thamsanqa Gabuza up front for the Pirates. The back four will be made up of Siyabonga Mpontshane between the sticks, Happy Jele, Thabo Matlaba, Patrick Phungwayo, and Ayanda Gcaba.

Even though he was the team’s top player the previous season, Abbubaker Mobara did not receive enough votes to start. Leading the team will be Oupa Manyisa, who will play in midfield with Mpho Makola and Issa Sarr.
