Wigan Warriors forward faces a tribunal while players from Leeds Rhinos and St Helens are banned….

Both Cameron Smith and Justin Sangare of the Leeds Rhinos have been suspended for one game each as a result of incidents during their team’s victory over the Castleford Tigers. Smith faces a Grade B Dangerous Contact accusation, while Sangare faces a Grade C Head Contact charge. As a result, they will both be absent from this weekend’s match against Warrington Wolves.

Additionally, other charges have been brought against Wigan Warriors and St Helens in their rivalry. For a Grade C Head Contact charge, Warriors forward Tyler Dupree has been issued a one-match penalty notice; however, he will not be subject to any additional punishment for the event that resulted in his sin-binning during the team’s loss to the Saints.

In a collision with Saints forward Matty Lees, he was accused of leading with the elbow, but the minutes of the Match Review Panel revealed that the player braces for contact and that initial contact is with the chest and rides up quickly to the opponent’s neck as the opponent slips prior to contact, saving him from a ban.

But Lees, the Saints prop, has also been suspended for two games. Because of his prior record, he has been charged with Grade C Head Contact, which carries a sentence at the higher end of the grade.

Byrne, on the other hand, was sent off in the closing moments of the derby and was charged with Grade E Head Contact. As a result, he will likely face a significant suspension and go before a tribunal on Tuesday.

Warrington prop The other player on suspension is Paul Vaughan, who received a two-game penalty for a Grade C Dangerous Throw during their loss to Catalans. Similar to Lees, his suspension falls on the upper echelon of the scale.
