Assistant City Manager Eric Brackins stated, “Going forward, the new sublease calls for no commercial activity in the state right of way, so you would not be able to sell a vehicle in the state right of way.”

Pigeon Forge subleasethe spaces to companies to maintain them after leasing the state’s right of way for more parking at establishments. The recent deal with the state of Tennessee further restricts what can be done for profit on these areas.

“It just clarifies in the new sub lease what’s always been there, which is that no advertising is allowed in the state right of way,” Brackins said.
