Regarding the report, Bridgepoint chose not to comment.
Although there are a number of other bids, Liberty Media (FWONA.O), opens new tab, which also owns Formula One, is reportedly in the lead to purchase Dorna.
Additionally, Liberty Media has tracking groups for its investments in LiveNation, an event ticketing company, and Formula One that are publicly listed.
A request for comment from Reuters was not immediately answered by Liberty Media or Dorna Sports.
According to Sky News, which cited a single source, London-listed Bridgepoint, which holds about 40% of Dorna, is attempting to complete the transaction in a few weeks.
