JUST NOW: Heartbreaking Report Reveals Shocking Details of Crash That Killed Beloved Pigeon Forge Firefighter

Knox County, Tennessee (WATE) — A preliminary investigation from the Tennessee Highway Patrol has revealed more details about the motorcycle crash that killed an off-duty Pigeon Forge firefighter on Sunday.

According to the report, Aaron Huss, 19, was driving on I-40 when the accident occurred around 8 p.m. According to the investigation, Huss’ 2008 Honda B60 was the lone car engaged in the collision.

The motorcycle lost control and overturned while riding west around mile marker 404.2. According to the complaint, Huss was flung from the bike and ended up under the guardrail. According to reports, the motorcycle proceeded to skid and collided with a guardrail before returning to the travel lanes and came to a stop.

The study does not specify what may have caused the crash.

The Pigeon Forge Fire Department issued a statement on Wednesday, along with information about Huss’ funeral arrangements.

“On rare occasions, somebody can enter our lives and irrevocably transform them. For the Pigeon Forge Fire Department, that person was Aaron Huss. The department wrote in part. “Aaron was more than just a coworker; he was a beacon of passion and determination among our colleagues. Aaron demonstrated steadfast passion and honesty from his early volunteer days to his time in the recruit academy and throughout his firefighting career. His passion for the fire service was evident, and his excitement contagious.

“To Aaron’s family, friends, and loved ones, we send our heartfelt condolences and are here to help you during this difficult time. Please keep Aaron’s loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as we commemorate and celebrate his extraordinary life and service.”

At Huss’ interment service, the fire department will provide him with fire service honors.
