Josef Newgarden Terminates Contract with Indycar and Explain His Decision.Josef Newgarden’s currently terminate his deal  with Team Penske who working on a contract extension to keep him in the No. 2 Chevy.

After joining Penske in 2017, Newgarden has achieved the most success in IndyCar, having won the Indianapolis 500 in 2023 along with titles in 2017 and ’19. Newgarden is rumored to have looked into free agency in an attempt to obtain a higher salary, and as RACER discovered this weekend from one of his possible destinations in the paddock, the beleaguered 33-year-old is expected to remain with the Cindric-led squad in 2025.
