Rod Runs means vintage vehicles lining Pigeon Forge’s parkway borders. While some were there to admire the vintage automobiles, others were there to barter and exchange. However, state representatives now want the city to uphold the rules, which would prohibit sellers from using signs to promote their vehicles.

During Pigeon Forge Rod Run events, the state of Tennessee requests that the city implement restrictions prohibiting advertising, sometimes known as for sale signs, in parking lots. The City of Pigeon Forge subleases Parkway neighboring land to companies, which is leased by the state.

These companies have given permission for unauthorized Rod Run participants to park there and sometimes post ads for their vintage vehicles for sale. Although there is a clause in the state’s lease for the city that forbids such actions
