It was Angel Reese once more. With her 12th consecutive double-double on Friday night, the WNBA rookie helped the Chicago Sky defeat the Seattle Storm 88-84. According to teammate Chennedy Carter, it was further proof that the forward has established a compelling case for being named the league’s Rookie of the Year.
With 27 points and 10 rebounds at the end of Friday’s game, Reese continued her impressive run of double-doubles. Carter was questioned about the rookie from LSU’s impact on Chicago after the game.
“Barbie’s Rookie of the Year,” Carter said. “There’s no other way to put it. She goes out, she does her work every single night, no matter what team we’re facing. I’m telling you, Barbie is Rookie of the Year.”
