There’s no denying Bobby Pierce’s return to championship
The Oakwood, Illinois driver won his fourth race of the season at Hamilton County Speedway by controlling the World of Outlaws CASE Construction Equipment Late Models Feature.
After taking the sixth-place pill in the feature redraw and winning Heat 2, Pierce had to go to work as soon as the Gorsuch Performance green flag was raised.
Pierce challenged Brandon Sheppard of New Berlin, Illinois for the lead in the feature race by moving up to second place by the fourth lap, sticking to his tried-and-true strategy of riding close to the cushion.
Pierce passed Sheppard as the two drivers changed lanes to maintain their position at the summit.
Bobby Pierce is back in championship form, and that much is undeniable.
