Mike Tyson revealed why Kobe Bryant’s death changed him as a person in emotional interview

Mike Tyson, a boxing star, has addressed how Kobe Bryant’s death affected him as a person.

Back in January 2020, the world of sports was rocked to its core when it was revealed that NBA legend Bryant had died.

The 41-year-old died when the helicopter he was in crashed into the side of a hillside in Calabasas, Los Angeles.

Bryant, his daughter, and seven other passengers died in the crash.

Tyson spoke in February 2020 on why he has changed since Bryant’s death.

He stated on his ‘Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson’ podcast: “I’m a new person now that it happened.

“I’m not sure what happened, but I’m different, and I’d like to think I have more thankfulness. I’m more grateful for my life, the air I breathe, and my family.

Tyson continued, “I get cocky at times and believe I can get a lot of people, a lot of broads, and I just need to be more grateful. I occasionally forget to express gratitude. “You forget how valuable life is.”

Tyson was supposed to face YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul on July 20, but the battle was delayed when the 57-year-old experienced a medical scare.

Instead, the battle will take place on November 15 at Arlington, Texas’ AT&T Stadium.

During an emotional speech at Bryant’s memorial, fellow NBA legend Michael Jordan stated, “As I got to know him, I wanted to be the best big brother that I could be.”

“What he has done and shared with Vanessa and his children has impressed me. “When Kobe Bryant died, a part of me perished.”

Bryant spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he won five NBA titles.

He was also voted the NBA Finals MVP twice and the NBA Most Valuable Player once, in 2008.
