Fiery crash at Southern Oregon Speedway leaves two hospitalized

POINT CENTRAL, OREGON Following a horrific collision at Southern Oregon Speedway, two persons were taken to the hospital.

It occurred during a 30-lap feature in the NARC 410 sprint car race series on June 12th.

The gasoline tank burst and a sizable fire was started when 30-year-old Sacramento motorist Angelique Bell entangled her vehicle in the fence.

Tony Incerty, an EMT and firefighter, managed to save Bell’s life by removing her from the car.

Safety crews tasked with suppressing the fire used every resource at their disposal to put it out.

General Manager Jim Allen of Northern Auto Racing Club 410 stated, “A fire broke out in her car.” “There is a fire suppression system installed in the car.”

Speaking with NBC5 News, Incerty emphasized the safety measures the raceway takes.

“There are several EMTs and firefighters on the crew that are trained. We offer a variety of extinguishers, such as ABC dry-chem. For three-dimensional fuel flames, we have Purple-K, and for water fires, we have our water fire truck.

Incerty spent one night in the hospital.

Bell was burned in the first and second degrees as a result of the incident.
