Track And Field Manager Announce His Resignation as A Result of indefinite…

A Great Britain and Northern Ireland U20 team will once again head to Mannheim in Germany for the prestigious international fixture on the 22-23 June 2024.

The Mannheim International is one of the highest-level junior competitions outside of the World or European U20 Championships each year, providing opportunities to several pathway athletes, both individually and in the relays.

In preparation for this summer’s World Athletics U20 Championships and after successes at the Loughborough International last month, full 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams have been selected as a key preparation event ahead of the Championships in Lima, Peru in August.

Current European U20 lead Nia Wedderburn-Goodison (coach: Ryan Freckleton, club: Harrow) competes in the women’s 100m and 4x100m relay and is joined by Mabel Akande (Denise Timmis, Lincoln Wellington) – who is currently second ranked in Europe – in both events, adding further firepower to the team.

Renee Regis (Darren Braithwaite, Shaftesbury Barnet) – double silver medallist from last year’s European U20 Championships – competes in the women’s 200m and 4x100m relay.

European lead Daniel Goriola (Tony Jarrett, Blackheath and Bromley) – who has clocked a time of 13.36 so far this season – goes in the men’s 110m hurdles in Germany as he fine-tunes his preparations ahead of the summer season.
