Steph Curry, his son Canon, and daughter Ryan joined a few of his Warriors colleagues for a baseball game at Oracle Park on Friday night.

Golden State’s hero is a Bay Area icon, but New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge bluntly stated that Curry and his colleagues were there to see the visiting club, not to support the local Giants, who play their home games at Chase Center.

“We’re the Yankees,” Judge told YES Network after New York’s 6-2 victory over San Francisco on Friday. “They came out to see the Yankees do their thing; we’ll put on another show for them tomorrow.

Judge certainly provided a blockbuster performance, blasting two home runs into the bleachers in his first career game at Oracle — with a personal element added because the 2022 American League MVP and Northern California native grew up watching Giants games at the ballpark by the Bay.

Curry joined Dr. Clarence B. Jones, Dr. Martin Luther King’s speechwriter and personal attorney who also wrote portions of the legendary “I Have A Dream” speech, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch as the Giants commemorated African-American heritage.
