Josef Newgarden wins second straight Indy 500 in duel with Pato O'Ward

In many respects, the 108th Indianapolis 500 proved to be a “Perfect Storm,” particularly for winner Josef Newgarden, who captured the world’s most important race for a record-breaking two years in a row.

Lightning and rain caused a four-hour delay in the race, but the 347,000 spectators that packed the Indianapolis Motor Speedway still made it back in time to witness one of the most magnificent events in the Indianapolis 500’s history.
