Outrage Erupts: WNBA Fans Furious Over Indiana Fever Coach’s Shocking Caitlin Clark Decision

WNBA fans are outraged at Fever coach Christie Sides once more for a choice she made about Caitlin Clark during a crucial moment of Indiana’s match against the Seattle Storm on Wednesday night.

It was a tie game with three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and Sides with Clark on the bench. She wasn’t having any problems. It was not a defensive-offensive switch. Sides just had Clark sitting on the bench without any justification.

It was an extremely thought-out choice. In the history of NCAA basketball, Clark is the greatest scorer. It’s evident that she is Indiana’s top player, and the race isn’t too close. And yet, when it mattered most, Sides decided to bench her for some reason.

Even though Clark returned to the floor with more than two minutes remaining, the Storm ultimately prevailed. If Clark had played the entire fourth quarter like she should have, the result might have been different.

On X, a fan commented, “Christie Sides has to account to why she benched Caitlin Clark with five minutes remaining in the game, horrible.”

Another fan posted, “WHY is Caitlin Clark on the bench with 3:30 minutes left and a 4 point game?.”

“In the fourth, when it mattered most, the fever coach placed Caitlin Clark on the bench. “What’s her thinking?” an admirer said.

Caitlin Clark deserved better. She is already one of the finest players in the WNBA, but she is resting for several minutes in the fourth quarter because Christie Sides believes she knows best.

The Fever are 0–5 to begin the 2024 season. Indiana has a chance to win its first game of the season Friday night against Cameron Brinks and the Los Angeles Sparks.
