A close examination of the Miami Dolphins’ training camp roster suggests that there’s a strong likelihood that in 2024, new players will make up about half of the regular-season squad. That’s what happens when an 11-game winning team is forced to cut players in order to relieve financial pressure on the team. The team then has to fill the depth chart with new players, either by selecting young players in the NFL draft or by signing reasonably priced veteran free agents. Not only is the team’s talent pool drastically changing, but Mike McDaniel has appointed 13 new coaches and coaching assistants. We shouldn’t be shocked if the Dolphins go through some growing pains because of all this turnover.
