During Indiana Fever’s defeat, Caitlin Clark rolls her ankle and receives her first technical foul; she says, “This one hurt a lot.”

Fans were upset by Caitlin Clark’s most recent game with the Indiana Fever, as the club lost for the fourth time in a row to start the WNBA season.

On Monday, May 20, during Indiana’s game against the Connecticut Sun, Clark, 22, twisted her ankle and had to go back to the locker room. Fortunately, the first overall draft selection was able to make a dramatic comeback to the floor in the second half, when she sank one of her trademark three-pointers from the logo.

The Fever were 0–4 to begin the season, but despite the enthusiasm, they looked more cohesive than they had in their previous three losses at the hands of the Sun.

Clark discussed the state of her ankle with reporters following the game. “I turned it pretty good,” she remarked at the press conference that the Fever posted online. She clarified, saying that she doesn’t have “the best ankles in the world,” saying, “I think it just got caught, I don’t think I stepped on anybody.”

On the morning of the game, Clark reported that her ankle felt “a little tight,” but “nothing out of the ordinary.”
