The Pittsburgh Steelers had one of the hardest schedules in the entire NFL even before the schedule was finalized. The difficulty increased significantly when the league released the official schedules and the manner it divided up the games.
Art Rooney II, the team president, perhaps gently expressed this opinion to Steelers writer Missi Matthews immediately after the schedule was revealed.
“Not exactly how I would have drawn it up, but we’ve got to do the best we can,” Rooney replied.
All six of the AFC North games are in the last eight, which presents the Steelers with an enormous amount of obstacles. grueling schedule that included three games in ten days in December and three prime-time games in four weeks in October.
Before this season, head coach Mike Tomlin has led the Steelers to 18 straight victories. That streak is definitely in peril with this schedule.
