Basketball fans in South Carolina have had to pay special attention to stay up to date on their Gamecocks’ recruitment status this spring. Through the transfer portal, talented players have joined (Jamarii Thomas, Nick Pringle, and Jordan Butler) and departed the squad (Meechie Johnson, Josh Gray, and Ebrima Dibba). Ellis accomplished something rather amazing on Saturday at the Puma NXTPro16 League 17U Tournament in Memphis, Tennessee, which is a part of the Puma Hoops Circuit. He made two game-winning baskets.

With the score deadlocked, both game-winning plays were made. In the first game, the score was tied 59-59, and in the second, 68-68. Just four hours after winning the first game with a long pull-up three, Ellis found himself in the lane for a difficult fallaway pull-up to seal the victory.
As of this writing, Ellis’ TBLA team is 4-0. The games will continue into Sunday in Memphis.
