The Philadelphia Eagles have signed undrafted free agent Kendall Milton to a contract, and they are still adding running backs. If you’ve heard this before, stop us: another former Georgia Bulldogs player is joining the Eagles. The news of Milton joining the Eagles was verified by Georgia’s official X account.

Despite being surrounded by players in the Bulldogs’ backfield, Milton produced well when given the chance. For the previous two seasons, the running back averaged 6.5 and 7 yards per carry.

Milton finished 2023 with 121 carries, 790 running yards, and 14 touchdowns. In the passing game, the playmaker will have to demonstrate that he can be counted on more. Last season, Milton had just four receptions for a total of 25 yards for Georgia.

The running back participated in Georgia’s 2021 and 2022 national championship campaigns. Milton now plays for the Eagles, a club that is full of former Bulldogs players, many of whom were essential members of those championship squads.

It will probably be difficult for Milton to make Philadelphia’s final squad. The Eagles selected former Clemson star Will Shipley with a fourth-round pick and signed free agent Saquon Barkley.

Kenneth Gainwell is another player on Philly’s squad that may be paired alongside Barkley and Shipley. Milton was rated by NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein as a sixth-round pick going into the draft, calling him “big and physical.” As he turns pro, Milton weighs 225 pounds and is over 6-foot-1.
