Lions extend WR Amon-Ra St. Brown’s contract until the 2028 campaign.
Michigan’s Allen Park Today, the Detroit Lions announced that they had extended the contract of wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown until the 2028 campaign. The details of the deal were not revealed.
St. Brown, who is about to start his fourth season with the Lions, has been selected for two Pro Bowls and one AP First-Team All-Pro. He recorded nine games with 100+ receiving yards, the most in the NFL, and made career highs with 1,515 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in the 2023 campaign. He tied the NFL record for the longest sequence of games (eight) with at least eight catches during his first two seasons with the Lions (2021–2022). In addition, he made NFL history by being the third player to have 90 or more receptions in both of his opening two seasons.
After getting chosen out of Southern California in the fourth round (112th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft, St. Brown moved to Detroit. He established team records for rookie receiving yards (912) and rookie receptions (90). His reception total was the highest for a rookie who wasn’t chosen in the first three rounds of a draft.
