South Carolina Are In A Total Down Fall As They Have Reported Record An Injury After Their Previous.

South Carolina baseball dropped out of almost all of the top-25 college baseball rankings two weeks ago, but it returned to most of them last week after defeating the Florida Gators in two of three games.

The Gamecocks defeated The Citadel in the middle of the week, but they lost two of three games to the Arkansas Razorbacks at Founders Park this weekend. Despite the series loss, the 9-9 YardCocks’ national poll standings remained relatively stable.

Last week, D1Baseball reinstated the Gamecocks as a rated team, and they maintained their top-25 position, dropping to #24 from #20 in the previous week’s rankings.

Perfect Game did not rank South Carolina baseball last week, and they have decided to keep Mark Kingston’s squad out of their top-25 this week.

Baseball America lowered USC three spots to 22nd place, down from 19 the previous week.

The team’s situation will not improve as time goes on. USC has four more SEC series remaining on its regular season schedule, three of which are against ranked opponents (the fourth on the road).

With a successful weekend, the Gamecocks will have an opportunity to move up the rankings, as their next three games will be against the #4 Kentucky Wildcats. Game 1 on Friday will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST and will be on SEC Network+. The first pitch for Game 2 on Saturday is scheduled for 6:00 PM EST and will air on the SEC Network. The season finale begins at 3:00 PM EST and will also be televised on the SEC Network.
