Sam Carlson Terminate newly signed contract with Brewers after Argument with Management

The next player to sign with the Milwaukee Brewers will be the team’s 1,000th player to participate in a game, marking a significant milestone for the organization. Before playing the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday, they chose pitcher Kevin Herget’s deal. He will be the player to surpass that mark if he plays for the Crew in a game.

A few months ago, the Brewers signed 33-year-old right-handed pitcher Kevin Herget to a minor league deal. He has played for the Tampa Bay Rays the previous two seasons, the Cleveland Guardians, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Cincinnati Reds the previous two seasons.

Herget has thrown 31.1 innings in the major leagues during his career, the most of which were with the Reds in the previous season. He played seven innings of relief for the Rays in 2022 to make his Major League Baseball debut. The Brewers would be his third organization in as many years if he were to pitch in the major leagues.
