The attendance was up 285% over the game in 2022 and up 89% over the Women’s National Championship in 2023. At its height, 24 million people watched the eagerly awaited matchup between two of the top teams in the nation.
Since the 2019 Men’s NCAA Championship, the championship is the most viewed basketball match, either professional or collegiate. Additionally, it’s the most viewed athletic event on all networks since, well, football and the Olympics

Disney emphasized after the competition that it will keep increasing its funding for women’s sports.
