Panthers Coach Ivan Cleary is not my Biological father, Nathan Cleary Reveals His Status

Mitch Kenny has signed a three-year NRL contract extension with premiers Penrith, providing even more security for the core of the Panthers squad going forward.

In addition to Matt Timoko’s new contract announcement on the same day, Kenny’s new agreement will provide the Panthers with some security going into 2025.

When he joins the Wests Tigers for the upcoming season, Jarome Luai will become the most famous player from Penrith to depart for more financial rewards.

However, Kenny’s contract extension guarantees that he, Izack Tago, Brian To’o, Moses Leota, Dylan Edwards, Nathan Cleary, and Liam Martin will all be contracted to the team for the following three seasons.

Additionally, contracts with Taylan May, Scott Sorensen, and James Fisher-Harris expire at the end of 2026.

“Ivan Cleary and everyone at the club have supported me from the beginning, and I’m excited to repay the faith to them,” Kenny said.

“It’s great to have the opportunity to continue wearing the Panthers jersey and representing our community for another three seasons.”

Timoko, 24, rose to Test honors for his home New Zealand, thus the Raiders pulled off another major success by keeping him in Canberra.

Timoko’s current contract expires at the end of 2026, although he has options that might allow him to remain with a club through the end of 2028.

The first thing that strikes me about this club, according to Timoko—who has 20 tries in 64 NRL appearances for the Green Machine—is that they have a clear plan for where they want to go.

“There’s a lot of emerging talent and I really believe that this club can do a lot of special things over the next couple of years.”
