I Will Never Forgive Francesco Bagnaia for Causing Me Loss the Portuguese GP, Marc Marquez Announce His Decision
It was understood when Marc Marquez started riding for Ducati that he would have to catch up to not only the riders who would be competing for the 2023 title race, such as Pecco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, but also the strong field of riders who would be riding bikes identical to Marquez’s this season.
Throughout the 2023 campaign, Marco Bezzecchi was a leading contender. Late in the season, Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio both shown incredible speed. While Marc would be joining Alex at Gresini with the intention of going after the best riders on brand-new Ducati GP24s, his three colleagues GP23 riders would also have similar goals in mind.
While Bezzecchi was having difficulty adjusting to the 2023 Ducati, his VR46 team-mate Di Giannantonio and the younger Marquez should be right there at the sharp end with Marc, maybe even one step ahead of Gresini Ducati’s star recruit, according to the pre-season results.
However, as of two rounds and four races into the season, there is still no sign of the intra-GP23 conflict. While it’s true that Marc Marquez isn’t having the best of times when it comes to competing against the 2024 Ducatis, the other older Ducatis haven’t got anything on him yet.
