Breaking News:Former Alabama Commit, 4-Star OL Mason Short Sets Commitment Date

Mason Short, a four-star offensive lineman, will announce his commitment on April 5. The 6-foot-5.5, 300-pound offensive tackle hails from Evans, Georgia.

Short’s four finalists are Ohio State, Kentucky, Clemson, and Georgia. On January 16, he decommitted from Alabama after head coach Nick Saban announced his retirement.


Short is the No. 222 overall prospect and the No. 13 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class. According to the On3 industry rankings, he is Georgia’s No. 5 interior offensive lineman and No. 30 player.

He received second-team MaxPreps Sophomore All-American honors and was voted Born to Compete’s Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2022. Short was also named a preseason MaxPreps Junior All-American this season.

According to On3 RPM, Georgia is the clear favorite to secure Short’s commitment.
