The Bucks benefit from Patrick Beverley’s choice to play despite his injury.

Patrick Beverley revealed on social media on Wednesday that he has a damaged ligament in his right wrist via his podcast page. He mentioned that he may be absent for several months.

It seems, though, that Beverley will continue to play despite the injury as the Milwaukee Bucks get closer to the postseason.

Beverley’s inclusion in the Bucks lineup will surely help Doc Rivers’ group. He is the top perimeter defender for the Bucks. He is well-known for his relentless play on the defensive end of the court and for setting an example for his teammates. Giannis Antetokounmpo and him together make up Milwaukee’s formidable defensive tandem.

Rivers requires as much backup assistance as possible. The elderly veterans that make up Milwaukee’s squad have mostly declined on the defensive end of the court. This season, the Bucks have had trouble establishing themselves. Still, Rivers has his team seeming well-organized as the playoffs approach.

Beverley will guarantee that opposing guards have a serious struggle because of his desire to embrace aggressiveness and close down the halfcourt boundary. But when he overcomes the pain barrier, there will surely be some doubts about his ability to play at a high level on a regular basis.

Beverley was acquired by the Bucks on February 8th, the trading deadline. They were aware that they were receiving a top-tier defender with outstanding leadership abilities. He may also set an example for his teammates by playing despite his agony. It remains to be seen if such leadership culminates in a championship ring.
