Reports:Dolphins’ Mike McDaniel lauds Falcons’ tremendous Julio Jones

He’ll be in the team’s ring of honor and may eventually make it to Canton, but one of his former colleagues, Julio Jones, will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. He is the finest receiver of his generation, holds numerous league and franchise records, and will eventually be inducted into Canton’s Pro Football Hall of Fame.

It’s also never a bad moment to remind everyone how amazing he is as a player. At the league’s owners meetings in Orlando, Mike McDaniel lauded Jones, telling Kevin Clark that if anyone wanted to witness a single play that exemplified Julio Jones as a player, it was his legendary catch over Luke Kuechly in 2015.

Jones was a physical specimen that few people could understand without experiencing it personally. In 2018, the former Falcons receiver became the fastest player in league history to surpass 10,000 yards, and the following year he set the team record for all-time receiving yards. In 2020, Jones became the Falcons’ all-time catches leader. Additionally, his 87.9 receiving yards per game are the second best in NFL history.

Julio Jones is a freak of nature whose career will conclude in Canton. There is no dispute about that.
