I’m Leaving Georgia Bulldogs for QB Carson Beck, WR Ladd McConkey Announced His Decision
While students are in the trenches of academia, USC football is in the trenches of athletics.
Two elite 2025 defensive line prospects, Justus Terry and Isaiah Gibson, both from Georgia, committed to the Trojans on Sunday by saying “yes” to head coach Lincoln Riley’s scheme.
With the addition of quarterback Julian Lewis, another Georgian, to the group, USC will have three commitments from the Peach State pair in the 2025 recruiting class. With three players ranked in the top 100 in the cycle, the Trojans are now the nation’s top 25 recruiting class.
These verbal commitments were made just 20 days after the NCAA football silent period, which allows coaches to speak with recruits and their parents only in person on a school’s campus, began, and shortly after USC hired defensive line coach Eric Henderson from the Los Angeles Rams on January 15.
Despite being recruited by colleges including Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Georgia, Henderson was able to acquire Gibson’s promise and flip Terry’s commitment from the Georgia Bulldogs by working rapidly on the recruiting trail.
Aaron Donald, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, may have aided the new defensive line coach in his recruitment efforts. Last week, Donald showed up at a USC practice.
Terry, who has a five-star rating and is ranked No. 8 overall in the 2025 class, is the Trojans’ most striking recruit. Terry, who is still in high school, is one of the taller prospects on the defensive line across the field at 6-foot-5 and 275 pounds.
