Leeds United are now just days away from returning to action, with a tough Championship meeting against Watford on Good Friday. Daniel Farke’s side enters Vicarage Road on the heels of a 13-game undefeated streak, 12 of which have been wins, and sits atop the Championship after surpassing Leicester City nine days earlier.
Leeds might start third on Friday evening, with Leicester and Ipswich Town playing before them. Farke, on the other hand, will remain focused solely on what he can control. As we wait to hear from the German later this week, the YEP has compiled a list of the most recent Elland Road stories.
Crysencio Summerville could depart Leeds this summer, according to sources, as a promotion is approaching. Süleyman Öztürk, editor of Dutch portal Voetbal International, believes that the winger can only join a top team.
Summerville is having the finest season of his short career at Leeds, with 15 goals and eight assists, making him one of the Championship’s most productive players. The 22-year-old is expected to attract interest from Premier League clubs, and failure to gain promotion may force a decision in West Yorkshire.
“He is one of the best forwards in the Championship; starting next season, we will see him at a top team. “He will make a transfer, there is no other way,” Öztürk told VI. “I want to see him at a higher level.” He has progressed tremendously over the last six months. He is speedy and good on the outside, but he is also ranked tenth. I believe he should cost about €40 million (£34.2 million).
Charlie Taylor, a former Leeds target, has hinted at a summer move while refusing to be pulled into discussions about his long-term future with Burnley. The left-back’s current deal at Turf Moor expires this summer, with speculation growing as that deadline approaches.
